Amaretto van de Lage Heide was among the select group of premium stallions at this year’s BWP stallion approvals and, after a successful presentation in the third phase under saddle, was approved. This makes the three-year-old top talent the first approved son of Replay van ’t Paradijs, with whom Kendra Claricia Brinkop has already achieved international success. This nine-year-old stallion placed at 1.55m Grand Prix-level this year and appears to have everything it takes to follow in the footsteps of his dam Jeunesse van ’t Paradijs, who competed successfully at the highest level under Lorenzo De Luca. As the damsire, the Grand Prix producer Thunder van de Zuuthoeve contributes his performance genes and he enjoys a strong reputation thanks to standouts such as HH Azur, Kalinka van ’t Zorgvliet, Gunder and Eldorado van het Vijverhof. Amaretto van de Lage Heide originates from a Belgian damline that also produced the top-level performer Karlin van ’t Vennehof, ridden by Shane Sweetnam and Lacey Gilbertson.
